How do I know for sure that I am saved?

"Everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
"He gives everyone who believes in Him the privilege of becoming His son or daughter! John 1:12
"If we have confessed our sins, He has forgiven us and made us clean from all our sins. 1 John1:9
In those times when we don't feel so holy --we walk by faith and not by sight! If we did as Romans 10:9,10 - believed in our hearts and confessed with our mouth the Lord Jesus then we are saved. John 1:12 says, "To as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God even to them that believe on His name."

Another way Satan fools us when we get saved is that many people think that they should feel something when they get saved. Some people do and some people don't. Notice that our theme scripture says "believe" and "confess", it doesn't say "feel". So the next time the enemy tempts you to think that you aren't saved, attack him with the Word of God. Remind him that you have believed in your heart and have confessed with your mouth and you are saved! If you are not sure that there was a particular time that you asked Jesus to come into your life, the following is a model prayer that you can pray to receive Christ.

A Prayer For Change

Dear Lord,
I realize that I am need of you. I cannot please you on my own. I believe that you are the Son of God and that you died on the cross to save me from my sins. Please forgive me of my sins. Come into my life and make me a new creature. Help me to live to please you. Thank you for saving me. Thank you that I now have a new life in you.
